Guidelines for AYME Conference Assistance Fund
Purpose: The purpose of the AYME Assistance Fund is to provide financial assistance toward the conference fees to members or those wishing to attend the conference who would otherwise be unable to attend because of present financial hardship.
General:
- The application may be submitted online.
- Assistance can be applied for from January 1st of the conference year until June 15th th of the conference year. Award recipients will be notified by June 30.
- The monetary assistance may apply to conference and membership fees only. It does not cover hotel or travel costs. The applicant may request up to 100% of the conference fees.
- Assistance will be determined according these criteria in descending order:
a. Priority will be given to an AYME current member.
b. Priority will be given to an applicant engaged in Youth Ministry education over other fields of study. This includes doctoral students.
c. Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate a greater financial need.
d. Priority will be given to first time attendees over lapsed members in order to expose new people to AYME.
e. Priority will be given to non-members who have a positive recommendation from a current AYME member.
- The completed application should be sent directly to the administrator.
